Description: Myers journal notes this image taken in February, 1862. Black Tom was a left handed fiddler (image is typical reversed image tintype). He was at the Lawrence Raid. His horse was shot so he rode out of Lawrence behind Cole Younger. He was also a reb soldier under Upton Hays. He died in 1914. Ref: His own family, Hale, Branded as Rebels.
