Description: This image is contemporary identified no less than 7 times on the actual image, a piece of paper inside the frame and on the frame itself. One identification is "W.D. "Will" Edwards and his friend Alex James." It is also identified as Edwards and Alexander James and Frank James. It is only the second known to exist of Frank armed and both are from the Cantey collection. This image is believed to have been taken in Nebraska right after the Lawrence raid. Edwards is on the left and Frank James is on the right. Image purchased from major Civil War dealer Rick Mack.
