Description: Large 1/4 plate tintype in its original paper frame. William Bonney, Billy the Kid (L), Richard "Dick" Brewer (C) and Alexander McSween (R). Image is journal dated as taken in 1876. It will undoubtedly be attacked by all the nay sayers, "experts", one time authors, and "gold standards" but in my opinion it is 100% right. It favors much better with the known tintype of Billy than any other extant today, was collected in the period (1880-1890) and is better documented than the others. It also very well favors the known images of Brewer and McSween.
