Description: The finest hard image of James Butler "Wild Bill" Hickok to be found in many years! This Myers collection image was purchased after his death. It dates June 4, 1867 and was taken after his Kansas buffalo hunt with friends after the Civil War. Bill is on the right and his hunting friend Robert Denbow is on the left. Wild Bill had been a scout for Lane and Jennison's Jayhawkers during the Civil War. Hickok admitted later that they were nothing but robbers and thieves.
