Description: Cantey Collection CDVs of Kansas Militia Captain and "Redleg" N. A. Haight. Both image taken in Lawrence, Kansas by J.Q. Adams during the Civil War. The Redlegs were involved in INFAMOUS raids into Missouri that included burning, looting, stealing, rapping, and murdering innocent citizens between 1858-1865. Note the red tinting on his collar, belt, sash and leg fringe. The vignette is signed by him on the back.
