Description: Image of Bryan Satterthwaite. General Grimes was shot by an assassin in 1880. He had been riding in his buggy with his overseer's son, Bryan, returning from Washington Village, and fell out of it wounded. Bryan refused to leave the dying General and got him back into the carriage. He raced to the plantation house in an attempt to save General Grimes but it was to no avail.
