Description: Original tintype from the Cantey Collection of Tombstone Cowboy gang member Frank Stillwell. This image came DIRECTLY from the Earp family and was carried home after Morgan Earp was killed to show the family in California what Frank looked like. Stillwell was one of the men involved with wounding Virgil Earp and murdering Morgan Earp in Tombstone. He was killed in the Tucson, Arizona railway yard by Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp when he tried to assassinate them as they stopped in Tucson on their way back to California with the wounded Virgil Earp and the body of Morgan Earp. This is the ONLY Earp family authenticated image of him EXTANT.
