Description: Cantey Collection original Ambrotype image of the famous woman gambler, Lottie Denbow. Her real name was Charlotta Thompson. This image is contemporary IDed on the back of the image in her real name and was found recently in Louisiana where she was (in New Orleans) at the time this image was taken there. It is from the collection of a deceased collector and historian in that state. She was the only woman openly welcomed at the gambling tables, a classy person, and the friend of such famous western characters as Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp.
