Description: Images of Jesse James are not as rare as originally felt by collectors. Jesse evidently liked his image taken and did so often. However, images of his wife Zerelda Mimms (James) are rare. This is an engagement image of the two of them taken in 1866, after she nursed him back to health. They were engaged around 10 years before they were married.
