Description: This is a rare, personal made stereo view. Written on the back is "Clifton House, C.F Taylor Hotel at Sedgewick, Colo., July 25, 1881." C.F. Taylor is "Fletch" Taylor, quantrill guerrilla and close personal friend of Frank James. Fletch Taylor is in the back row, near the hotel, second from the far right. Mrs. Taylor is in the window, second floor, right. Frank James is in the middle of the image on his favorite white horse, Dan. This image was never meant for the public and was found in Mrs. Taylor's personal album. It is historically important as at Frank's trial, Frank was asked where he was in the 1881-1882 period before he surrendered. He indicated only general locations but this image proves where he was in July, 1881, at least.
