Description: Three Estes brothers (L. to R.) are Daniel W. Estes, Noah Estes, and Alvis Estes. The image is journal dated as taken 8/4/1864. They served with Upton Hays early on and later became guerrillas. Noah supposedly died of rubella in the Gratiot prison in St. Louis. Alvis seems to be wearing a CSA overcoat.
