Description: Left to right: Joe Gardner, Charles Higbee (seated), and Sander (Sandy) Mc Cane (or Macane). Image journal dated as 8/14/1863. Gardner was with Silas Gordon under Quantrill. Charles Higbee was Quantrill's Treasurer and went to Richmond with him. Mc Cane or Macane was with Anderson and was killed by the Missouri State Militia around 9/20/1864.
