Description: Jennie (L) and Sallie (R) Mayfield. They were captured by Union soldiers and jailed for being with the guerrillas. They pulled off a darning escape from a St. Louis, Mo. prison and got back home in 1864. Their sister Leonora was a known guerrilla herself.
