Description: Robert Sargent and George Scholl taken on December 24, 1864.
After the war, they became partners in a combined freighting and funeral home business in Missouri. The journal states that Gus was a grave digger for Sargent and a teamster foreman for Scholl and considered both men good friends. Scholl was a Quantrill guerrilla but Sargent was  not a guerrilla.
