Bob Joiner and Sid Jackman

Description: Bob Joiner (L) and Sid Jackman (R). Image is journal dated as February, 1862. Bob Joiner was accused of "keeping a rendezvous for guerrillas and murdering bushwackers." House was burned down on 9/05/1862. He was taken prisoner, released, and died in the Spring of 1863. Ref: BRANDED AS REBELS by Hale.  Sid Jackman was an independent guerrilla leader like Quantrill. He was at Lawrence. He successfully attacked a Union guerrilla band under a Yankee leader named Meeks while in Arkansas in 1864. He and his men killed 15 Yankees. One was captured and Jackman hanged him. Ref: BRANDED AS REBELS by Hale/Eakins.
