Wild Bill Hickok and friends
Last Random Picture | Next Random Picture
Description: George Myerson Jr. collection tintype image taken in 1873 of "Wild Bill" Hickok and his friends when they first formed the theatre group that they were all involved in. Hickok hated being on stage and bowed out after a few performances. Note that Omohundro does not yet sport his long hair and moustache he had shortly thereafter. Hickok is wearing the Russian fur hat he is shown wearing in other images of the period. He is standing in the left corner of the image and moved while the image was taken so he is slightly out of focus. However, that mouth is a dead give away (Duck Bill). See next image for IDs of all but two of the men. Standing far right is not IDed but could well be Alf Johnson who was in the play. Seated far right is IDed only as "C.J." as the last name is obliterated in the journal.
