Description: John Ross was with Quantrill at the battles of Independence (1862), Lawrence (1863), and Baxter Springs (Oct. 1863). He went to Kentucky with Quantrill in 1865. He was Quantrill's link to all guerrillas who wanted to be in contact with him. Survived the war. This is a post war image.
