James Clark and William De Priest

Description: James "Lil Jim" Clark (L) and William De Priest (R). Myers journal dates this image as being taken in August, 1863. Clark joined Quantrill when he was 20 years old. He was suppose to have been a member who carried out secret missions for Quantrill during the war. He moved to Telluride, Colorado in 1887 and was killed there in 1895 serving as a law officer. He was shot and killed. It was also rumored that earlier he had been a member of the James gang. Ref: Hale, Branded as Rebels. William De Priest was an obscure Missouri guerrilla.
