Caleb, William and Doc Hines

Description: Myers journal notes this image was taken on Christmas day, 1864. It is of the three Hines brothers. L to R: Caleb Hines, William Hines, and Doc Hines. All three were killed on May 5, 1865 at daylight near Sturgeon, on the Silver Fork, Missouri. Doc was the leader of seventeen guerrillas. Bill Hines was also known to have been involved with Bill Hickman in a robbery at Bloomfield, Missouri in 1864.
