Caldwell "Colly" Chiles

Description: Myers collection image of Caldwell "Colly" Chiles taken in September 1864. The Myers journal noted taken "after escape". Colly did join Quantrill for a time but spent most of the war as a regular CSA soldier. He served under General Shelby. He was taken prisoner at Helena, Arkansas in 1864 after being wounded. After he recovered, he escaped and joined his regiment again. He died in 1900.
