Captain Jackson, Lovelace, and Lt. Brown
Last Random Picture | Next Random Picture
Description: Myers collection image of Captain James "Jim" Jackson (standing) and (L to R) Henry Lovelace, and Lt. Elias "Gray" Brown taken in 1863. Jim Jackson had his own band of guerrillas. Rather than fight the war, they were mostly brigands and robbers. He was shot after a trumped up trial by militia in 1865.
Brown was killed near Fayette, Missouri in January, 1865, while with Captain Jackson. Henry Lovelace was known to have been with Porter.
