Description: Absolutely original image of J.H. "Doc" Holliday and Sherman McMasters probably taken in Arizona in 1882, just before the Vendetta ride with Texas Jack Vermillion, Turkey Creek Johnson, Wyatt and Warren Earp against the "cowboys" who murdered Wyatt's brother Morgan in Tombstone. The image is CONTEMPORARY IDed in pencil handwriting OF the period and correctly dated as 1882. Each ID is in a different hand and style of writing. It was found and purchased by George Myerson Jr. in the 1890-1900 period. Shortly after this image was taken, they rode out on the now famous Vendetta.
