Description: Myers Collection image of Ben Maddox. Myers indicates that he was "Kin to George Maddox" and that the image was taken by E.A. Baldwin in 1862. The mat bears the EAB (Baldwin) mark. Ben was captured and died of disease in the Yankee hell hole, Rock Island Prison, Dec. 21, 1864. Ref: Ingmire, "Branded as Rebels".
