Description: Album Cabinet photograph circa 1880s of Zerelda "ZEE" Mimms James standing beside the Coffee Bean tree stump where Dr. Samuels was hanged by Yankees in an attempt to get him to reveal the whereabouts of his step sons, Frank and Jesse James, during the CW. Some Yankee books and articles have said he led the Yankees to Frank but that is a LIE! He never revealed anything. They finally cut him down, he was revived, but permanently brain damaged. The tree eventually died and was cut down in the 1880s period. Image purchased for Cantey Collection from the former Zink Collection sold by Heritage Auctions in 2013.
