Description: Early CDV image of Zerelda James Samuel,mother of Frank and Jesse James.It was taken after January 26, 1876 as she has the missing arm blown off by the Pinkerton bomb thrown through the window of her home on that day (also killing her 9 year old son Archie). I would date this image in the late 1870s. It is formerly from the collection of Wilbur Zink purchased for the Cantey Collection in the Heritage auction in 2013.
