Description: Fine and very rare image of Dr. Ruben Samuel probably taken in the 1880s. He was the third husband of Zerelda James Samuel and step father of Frank and Jesse James. This image was purchased for the Cantey Collection from the Wilbur Zink collection sold in 2013 by Heritage Auctions.
