Description: Faded image of an elderly Zerelda James Samuel.Believed to date in the later 1890s. This is a rare view of her. It was purchased for the Cantey Collection from the auction of Wilbur Zink's collection at Heritage Auctions in 2013. She is wearing a broach that was known to have an original image of her son Jesse on one side and an original image of Frank on the other (broach was reversible depending on her mood). No way to tell which son id here. The broach has never been found.
