Description: Undoubtedly the finest image of Captain William H. Gregg extant. This one dates in 1861. Journal entries are "Presented to Grandfather (George Myers Senior, Gus Myers' son) at the 1899 UCV Reunion in South Carolina by William H. Gregg, UCV Commander (and Quantrill Captain)". It is still in its original hand painted, art nouveau, carved, gesso frame (1890-1900). It is a fully tinted, full plate tintype.
